5 Reasons Plenti Points Seem Pretty Awesome

This week we went to Rite Aid and when we went to check out we signed up for the new Rite Aid Wellness+Plenti program.  The Plenti program replaces the former Rite Aid Up Rewards program so your old Rite Aid loyalty cards will not work.

It was super quick to get the new card at the checkout and the points that I was supposed to earn on my transaction posted to the new card without a problem.  We were handed a brochure with the card and told to call in or go online to complete the registration of the card.  The Plenti points wouldn’t be available to use until this was completed.

Well I just logged into Plenti.com and activated the card. Wow!  I am pretty happy with what I see …. it seems this is going to be much, much better than the old program!

5 Reasons Plenti Points Seem Pretty Awesome

  • They are valid for 2 years.  The old UP Rewards expired in 2 weeks, sometimes causing a frantic trip to Rite Aid to spend the rewards before they were useless.  Admit it, this must have happened to you too!
  • You can earn Plenti points from various retailers and they all go into one account, one big “pot”.  You can earn points when you shop at Macys, buy gas at Exxon and Mobil, certain stores like Kmart and Albertsons (use the Plenti manage cards tool to see what stores allow you to link your card to theirs to earn the points), when you use AT&T or Hulu & more.
  • Plenti points can be redeemed for gas at Exxon and Mobil stations!  Since they are good for 2 years, this is a great option to save for an upcoming road trip!(limit of 2,500 Plenti points per purchase – so the max you can save at one fill up is $25).
  • You can use Plenti points at places other than where you earned them.  This means for instance if you earned 1,500 points for a Rite Aid transaction but want to use the $15 when you buy gas at an Exxon or Mobil station, you can!

  • You can use your Plenti card when you shop online at specific retailers and earn points.  View the online marketplace here.

The other day Macys had a television commercial airing and they mentioned Plenti points.  Have you seen this commercial?  Have you had a chance to use your Plenti card?  What are your thoughts about this program?
