It is a new year, and as I sit in the office contemplating getting back to a somewhat normal routine I wanted to compose this post.
I am not sure who I am kidding, the normal routine probably won’t start until tomorrow! The bank is shut today, the post office isn’t delivering … that makes it another “day off” right?
First, thank you! Thank you for being part of our community and for taking interest in our website. Without you there is no reason to keep up the blog. We appreciate you letting us into your busy lives.
You probably noticed that in the later part of 2016 our posts were less frequent. That is largely due to the fact that our lives, like yours, got crazy nutty busy in November and December. You can relate to that, right? Our “full time” job is online retail and the last couple of months of the year are huge for online sales. (Think Amazon and eBay). As we were pulled in that direction along with Jim finishing some big remodeling projects for customers our time was pretty much taken up. Late hours and early mornings were the norm around here!
We just wanted you to know we haven’t disappeared; we are still here! In fact we are recharged after taking a much need hiatus from work to enjoy the magic of the season. We hope you had a fabulous holiday time with your friends and family. We rang in the new year with a yummy crab leg & prime rib dinner and then some fun at the casino. We weren’t lucky winners, but I know I have the BEST prize I could ask for.
Someone posted on Facebook the question to sum up 2016 in 3 words. I thought about that for a while and came up with my 3 words.
Healthy (thank God for that – end of the month marks the big 5-year cancer free mark!!)
Successful (thank God for that too, along with long hours and lots of hard work)
Determined (also known as Gazelle-intense around our house)
