Last night for dinner we had the Kraft Fresh Take Cheddar Jack & Bacon with chicken.
Wow – it was SO easy and so yummy! Have you tried it? The coupon is still available to print so if you are going to buy it make sure and print this coupon: $0.75 off ONE package of KRAFT Fresh Take
I usually buy boneless chicken breasts in bulk and then freeze them separately for convenience. It is a money saver too because our local meat store gives a price break on the per pound cost when you buy over 10 pounds. So, I thawed one of the very large boneless chicken breasts. Then I cut it into 4 pieces and placed each piece between saran wrap. I used an old wooden rolling pin to hammer it thin, about 1/3″ thick or so. Yes, I should treat myself to a kitchen mallet….I know!
Using the Kraft Fresh Take was so simple! I just put in the pieces of chicken, one by one, into the plastic bag containing the mix (this comes with the kit) and shook it around to coat. I placed the pieces in a baking pan that I had coated with cooking spray and put the remaining Kraft Fresh Take mix on the top of the pieces of chicken. It was baked for 30 minutes on 450 degrees … and turned out delish! I should have taken a photo but totally forgot until it was too late.
I served it with a steamed rice pack (acquired for free with a coupon a while ago at Kroger) and a can of peas. Yummy, quick and cheap. Hooray!
Give it a shot, I am pretty sure you will like it.
Okay I made this Friday night with fish. I don’t understand how it’s supposed to stick without mustard or an egg wash. Did it stick easily for you? We cooked it at 450 degrees and the top was kinda crispy but the bottom was a disgusting, pasty, soggy mess. The jury is still out on these.
