The coolest thing happened at Rite Aid today! While checking out the clerk asked if I would like to donate $1 to the Children’s Miracle Network. She had one of those paper balloon cut outs that you write your name on and they hang in the store. I was more than happy to do so, and then she told me of this GREAT offer going on when you donate. (She happened to be my favorite cashier, I love when she is working because she is so friendly and patient….and she knows I love a good deal!!).
The paper balloon has 6 small coupons attached to it that you keep once you pay the $1 donation. One of the coupons is for $1 off any No Nonsense item. The clerk explained to me that they have No Nonsense women’s socks for $1, so they are free with the coupon (you just pay the sales tax if applicable). So cool!
So, each time I checked out today at Rite Aid (5 times), I donated $1 to CMN and then used the coupon for a free pair of socks. It’s a win/win!
I did not realize that Rite Aid is a partner in raising money for CMN; you can read more about their company commitment to this great charity here on their website.
So go ahead, donate and treat your tootsies!
Kelli, so tell us “newbies” why you would check out 5 different times. (That deal about the socks is great!)
I checked out that many times because I had 5 different $3 off $15 purchase coupons to use (they were from the Rite Aid store surveys that you complete online). You can only use 1 of those per transaction, and because I was buying a lot of items I knew if I split up the transactions into separate check outs, I could use more of the $3 coupons.
Even sweeter, I had 3 more survey invites print out on the new receipts from this trip. Thanks Rite Aid!
If you have any other questions, or if my answer isn’t clear, just let me know. Thanks Linda!
