8/16/12: Update……this is still active until 8/22/12!
Wow, this deal is amazingly easy and HOT! As most of you know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year and while I am doing OK now, I am on daily medication so that means once a month I need to have a prescription refilled. Last month we took advantage of a Target catalina coupon (no longer printing) that gave us $10 free when we brought a new or transferred prescription to their pharmacy. We have also scored at Kroger pharmacy too (see those details here)
Yesterday I had to refill the prescription again so I jumped online to see if anyone had transfer bonuses going on. Then I remembered our post from April (view that post here) that told of a $25 Walgreens gift card with transferred prescriptions!! I went online to Walgreens Pharmacy and found the offer. I transferred my script online, picked the pharmacy I wanted to pick it up at, named the date and time of pick up and that was it. Easy. Simple.
After I clicked “submit”, a page appeared with a link to print a coupon for the $25 gift card.
When I picked up my prescription a few hours later I gave the coupon to the cashier and she gave me a $25 gift card.
Sweet! They paid me $25 to bring my business there – which I happily did.
Remember, if you have prescriptions to refill always scour around for hot money making deals!
This offer is good until 8/22/12, so you have a long time to take advantage of it.
There is some small print too: “*This offer is not valid for and cannot be used by any patient who is currently or has been a beneficiary of a federal healthcare program, such as Medicare Part D, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part B, Medicaid, TRICARE or the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program any time in the 6 months prior to coupon redemption. Offer not available in Alabama, Arkansas, Massachusetts, Mississippi, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, New York and New Jersey. Other transfer restrictions may apply.”
I wonder if you can do this more than once. Like, if you had done it at sometime in the past, could you ever do it again?
