Since I write and work as an online retailer for a living I spend a lot of hours seated at my desk. I rarely work just an 8 hour day and all of that sitting can cause quite a number on my back. I was offered the opportunity to try the Cush Cushion seat cushion and wanted to share my thoughts on this innovative product.
I have tried other seat cushions before, without much noticeable difference. When the Cush Cushion arrived I was eager to give it a shot to see if it could relieve some of the stress on my back as well as help to improve my posture. I have scoliosis and because of that I have a slight hump on my back; this has caused me to become more aware of my posture especially as I age. I try and remember to push my shoulders back as I work away at the computer but am often forgetful as I get wrapped up in my tasks.
The Cush Cushion was developed by Chris, who developed a herniated disc in his back when he was 26. He tried all sorts of cushions in an attempt to relieve the back pain without success so he decided to create his own solution. After trial and error, Cush Cushion was launched.

Plus, it comes with a soft and strong cover that is washable; you simply zip off the cover to give it a wash when needed. The non slip underside of the cushion keeps it in place and stops the annoying slipping that I have experienced with other seat cushions.
The Cush Cushion arrived packed nicely and I was shocked at how plump it was. I immediately lowered my desk chair a bit (the cushion is high so I needed to drop the height of my chair to maintain the proper angle to my keyboard). I plopped the cushion in place and took a seat. Wow! Instantly I could tell I was sitting on something of high quality craftsmanship. I’ve been using my cushion for about two weeks now and I can say that it does make a long day in the office chair so much more comfortable. I love that it stays in place too as I move around while working. I’ve noticed that I am keeping a better posture position for a good part of the day and I attribute that to the Cush Cushion. Even after a long day at my desk my back feels fine!
I’ve even been taking the cushion into my sewing studio at night and sitting on it as I sew. I use a kitchen chair at my sewing machine and the cushion works great on that as well. It’s easy to move it from one chair to another or even to take it into the car to relieve spinal pressure as I drive.
