Today, 5/14/11 is the national Stamp Our Hunger food drive that is ran by the National Association of Letter Carriers. Simply set out by your mailbox a bag with any non perishable food items you wish to donate and your mail carrier will pick them up and take them to be donated to a local food pantry/organization. What a convenient way to donate! You don’t even need to leave your home and drive to the donation center. We love this idea!
When you have organized your donations, head on over to Couponing For Community on Facebook and record your donation. Couponing for Community is trying to achieve 10,000 donated items and your donation will help them reach that amazing goal. You just record your first name and the number of items you donated. Just click the “See Our Progress” tab to log in your donation. (Update!! We see that as of right now they have topped 15,000 items!!! Wa-hoo! Let’s all record our donations and see just how high this goal can go).
