We’ve been carrying around the $6/2 Schick razor coupon for a while now, every time we went to Walmart they were totally out of the packs that were priced around $3 (we think everyone & their brother were after these packs!!)! Then Kroger had a BOGO Free sale on Schick last week so we thought it would be a perfect time to use the coupon since their packs were priced at $6.27. Wrong!
They were sold out immediately. Dang! Well on 10/31 after all the Trick or Treat hub-bub we popped back into Kroger to use up the last of our Crest toothpaste coupons since they expired that day. To our disappointment, they were sold out of that too, and the Oral B toothbrushes. We had wanted to use as many of these coupons as we could because we wanted to donate all of it to the troops. (More on the community effort to send goodies to our troops will follow….).
Anyway, we went to check the razor area and woo-la! They were in stock and there were loads of them. Hooray-we were able to use all 3 of the coupons and score 6 packs of razors for just $0.14 each!
Kroger also had the energizer batteries on clearance for $2.79 and we used our $1 coupons. The Yoplait with granola is one of Jim’s favorites and we had 3 coupons to use up for them. They are not free, but a nice price and he loves them!
The moral to this story? Don’t give up on using your coupons – even if a store is sold out time and time again, always keep them in plain sight so you remember to keep checking the stock. You never know when it just may be your lucky day!
Happy saving….and happy days!
