We need your help, your creativity and your experience! What do we need help with?
Vacation plans!
We had intended to travel to Texas in June for a family reunion but due to circumstances beyond the family’s control, that event is not happening this year. Since that plan fell through we are now trying to figure out where to go for this summer’s vacation. We are wide open to possibilities but we do have a few specifics:
- We want a road trip – so somewhere nice to drive to/from and with plenty of fun interesting stops on the way (we live in Michigan).
- Money is a consideration, we’ll be thrifty and smart with our money so nothing too extravagant. (But we’ve been saving so it doesn’t have to be “on the cheap”).
- It’s just the 2 of us, and we like to explore.
- We are not big “lay on the beach” kind of people; we prefer to wander through a new town, check out some nature walks/trails, etc. One or two beach days would be OK, but we’d go stir crazy if that was all we had to do.
- We’re traveling in July.
- We want to be gone 10 days to 2 weeks.
