Did you know that people living on military bases overseas are able to use expired manufacturer’s coupons for 6 months past the expiration date? Isn’t that awesome!
The Clever Couple has adopted a military base in Lakenheath England and if you want to, you can send your expired coupons there too. We actually visited the Lakenheath base while we were with the US Navy, stationed in Scotland. We were thrilled to see they were one of the bases available for adoption!
We are sending a ton of them out in the mail today. It’s a small way to give back to our troops and their families, who sacrifice so much for our liberty.

Please note:
1) The coupons need to be separated into food & non food (we put ours into 2 different plastic shopping bags & then put them in 1 box)
2) There is no minimum donation size; even the smallest contribution will make a difference
3) When you send your coupons, mention that you are sending them as part of the The Clever Couple community
4) Postage is not expensive; you only pay based on prices to the US (because we are using the APO mailing address). If they fit, try sending them in the Flat Rate USPS Priority Mail envelope for just $4.95. First Class Mail will work too.
