We are super duper excited for a trip we have coming up next week. We are taking our 3 teenage nephews and our neighbor (who is like a nephew) on a road trip. Yes, there will be 5 men and me – Auntie!
Have you been to Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio? It has been over 25 years since Jim and I have been there, so we are super excited to experience it again. The boys have never been, so it is going to be fun.
Anyway, we are renting a full size SUV because we can not fit 6 adults in our vehicle. I’ve been searching online for deals and actually found the best price by booking directly online with Budget! Their direct price beat Hotwire, Priceline, etc. I was surprised! It was a good reminder that just because a site says it is the best price, it pays (and saves) to check around and do your homework.
We are going to be staying at the awesome Maui Sands Resort. We’ve booked the Hana Suite which has 4 beds for the boys and one bed for us. The sleeping areas are separate and we each get a 32″ TV! Not only do the boys get “away time” but we will as well. You can get a sneak peek at our suite here if you wish.
We will be at Cedar Point one day and Soak City the other day.
On our final day we are going to the Kalahari Resort and checking out there Outdoor Adventure Park. It has ziplines, rock climbing wall, etc. The boys will love that, and I am going to give it a whirl as well. They also have a fantastic water park on their property that we are going to explore as well. Check out the water park map!
We’ll be sharing our trip with you guys, so hopefully you will find it interesting and may even check out these places yourself. We plan to make this a thrifty trip, so our eyes are opened for money saving ideas we can pass along. I am sure there will be quite a few funny stories to share with you as well.
