We just bought two Soaring Eagle Casino concert tickets and because Jim is a Veteran and has the HERO Card his ticket was 50% off! That is a great perk and we wanted to share the news with you guys.
We’ve told you before about the Soaring Eagle Casino HERO program for active duty, retired and veterans. It’s a free program the casino has that rewards veterans with perks including:
- 1 free hotel room per month, based on availability
- Free dining dollars twice a month ($10 or more, depending on your play activity)
- Free premium play money awarded twice a month
- 50% off 1 concert ticket per show
- 20% off spa products and services
- 20% off items in the gift shop
We try and take advantage of the free hotel room at least every other month and while we are there Jim uses his free play and his dining dollars so we enjoy quite a few freebies on the getaway. There is always a varied schedule of top notch performers from every genre coming to the casino (view the Soaring Eagle entertainment schedule) but we have never attended a concert there. It just so happened that one of the bands that Jim had an interest in is coming to the casino so we decided to grab 2 general admission tickets.
We had forgotten about the entertainment discount perk for the HERO card so we expected to pay $25 for his ticket; we were so happy to find out that the ticket was only $12.50! Although it isn’t a published perk, the 2nd ticket was 15% off for this concert (we are not sure if this is a standard discount for HERO cardholders or not). We paid $33.75 for TWO tickets that have a face value of $50.
Plus, and this perk is offered for anyone, when you buy 2 concert tickets in person at the box office you receive $20 in free play for the day of the concert. (online orders do not receive the free play perk).
Note that if you buy your tickets at the Saganing Eagle’s Landing box office location (in Standish, Michigan) you will receive a voucher that you take to the Mt. Pleasant location the day of the concert to receive your free play. If you are like us, while you are at the casino for the concert you will more than likely give the slots a try so you have a free $20 to play on!
Figuring in the free $20, the cost of the adventure to the concert became even less expensive! $33.75 – $20 in free play = $13.75!
