If you are a local reader you may or may not be familiar with The Whiting in Flint, Michigan. Have you ever been to a live performance there? Many years ago we saw Nunsense there, and it was a brilliant show. It’s been a very long time since we have attended an event at The Whiting so we are extremely excited to be partnering with The Whiting this year.
Located in Flint, this 2000+ seat theater hosts Broadway, music, comedy, theatre, dance and much more throughout its season. The variety of entertainment options is vast and they truly try to bring something for everyone. Coming this year are performances including Blue Man Group, Detroit ’67, Ragtime, Celtic Nights, Peking Acrobats, Annie the Musical and so many more!

We are going to be attending Ragtime the musical in February; it looks like it is going to be a brilliant show and we love live musicals. You can find out more or purchase tickets to Ragtime here.

Some interesting things about The Whiting you may not know:
- Senior, Child, and Military discounts are available for most performances. Please inquire at time of ticket purchase.
- Student Rush tickets are offered to all students 16 years of age or older. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event with a valid Student ID, limit 2 tickets per ID.
- Parking is free and secure at The Flint Cultural Center (adjacent to the theater)
- Barrier free seating is available on every floor of the theater
The Whiting is located between Mott Community College and the University of Michigan–Flint on the beautiful Flint Cultural Center campus at 1241 E. Kearsley St. in Flint, MI.
