Have you registered your shopper’s card with SavingStar.com yet? If not, what are you waiting for? SavingStar is a brand new concept in couponing; you don’t use paper coupons at all–you “load” electronic coupons onto your store’s shopper card (like your Kroger card, for example).
When you check out, if you have a paper manufacturer’s coupon with you, you hand that to the cashier. She will deduct the amount of that coupon off your total (like a typical transaction). Then, when she scans your store loyalty card you will earn credit for the SavingStar coupon too! The total doesn’t come off your bill but it is deposited into your SavingStar account. Once your savings reach $5, you can pick your payout from a deposit into your bank or PayPal account, an Amazon gift card, or a donation to American Forests. Nationwide, over 24,000 stores participate representing nearly 100 retail chains. Kroger participates, as well as Rite-Aid, CVS, Albertson’s, Ralphs and many more. You can plug in your zip code to see what stores in your area participate. If you have other questions, they have a really helpful FAQ page here.
New coupons have been added for August; right now there are 20 coupons you can load and I know for a fact several of the products have mfg. coupons out there too, so a stack is possible! Here are some of the highlights:
