The special pricing of $79 per year instead of $119 is valid for all active military and Veterans. If you have an existing Prime membership, you can take advantage of the savings and Amazon will add a year to your existing membership.

There are many benefits of an Amazon Prime membership that we find advantageous throughout the year. We utilize the free shipping on Amazon orders all the time, from toilet paper to computer ink and everything in between. An Amazon Prime membership also means you can stream movies, music and television shows for free.
We should note that when we attempted to take advantage of this program, we encountered difficulty with the verification page online and had to contact Amazon’s help desk. After a few moments they were able to assist us. Hopefully it was just because they were ironing the kinks out of the program on the first day.
