We wanted to share with you guys something that has us pretty excited, because we know many of you are looking for ways to save more money and to use the money you make more wisely.

Have you heard of Dave Ramsey? Have you ever listened to his daily radio show (I love to listen the the radio show archives here, on my computer, as I work during the day).

I kid Jim that Dave is my new boyfriend; he has so many brilliant ideas about money that I often find myself saying “Dave says….”. You get the idea, right?

One of Dave’s tools is his Financial Peace University, and it is a 9 week class that is taught at churches and other venues all around the country. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more!

Jim and I have been talking about attending FPU for about a year as we have started to bring many of Dave’s financial ideas and methods into our lives. We have a good grasp on Dave’s teahings but feel that taking this class will help put it in a more clear plan. We like a plan, and we like the idea (alot) of living debt free – so we decided to make the investment in ourselves and sign up for the class.

We start on Sunday!

The class cost was just over $100 and that entitles us both to attend as well as provides the materials for the class. As an added bonus we can return to attend the class again at any time, at any location, free of charge.
