Have you seen the commercials on TV for Walmart lately, the ones where they are announcing that they price match items in their store if you find the identical item for less somewhere else? We love those commercials! Walmart seems to be one of the few retailers out there that is recognizing the fact that TLC’s Extreme Couponing show, coupled with the tightened economy, has turned many shoppers into much more thrifty shoppers.
The Walmart commercials advertise that the price matching is easy and simple, and can be done right at the register. The simplest way to do this is to bring along a complete ad from a competitor in your area. Show the checker your ad when you are ringing through your order and she will manually adjust the price. Plus, then you can use any coupons you have on top of the adjusted price, making the final cost even lower.
Truth be told, we don’t shop at Walmart too often for groceries, however with this new coupon and price friendly policy being touted, we are going to give them another shot. They want our business, they are clearly stating that by paying millions of dollars to run those friendly TV ads. The least we can do is give it a whirl.
