This past Monday we were lucky enough to attend Monday Night Raw in Detroit Michigan. The family friendly WWE event was held at Joe Lewis Arena and our seats were fantastic! We were only 11 rows up from the main floor.

Do you have a WWE fan in the house? Jim and I have watched professional wrestling since we were kids, and during our dating years we would watch wrestling and order pizza; it was one of our favorite relaxing date nights. Monday was also Jim’s birthday, so it was extra special to get to see Monday Night Raw that night!

WWE is a family friendly event, a PG rated form of entertainment that we still enjoy. Our nieces and nephews enjoy the entertainment as well. It is a super charged, high energy event that really involves the crowd and encourages rooting on your favorites.

The build up to the WWE’s biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania is continuing and it was present during Detroit’s Monday Night Raw episode.

We were able to see a bunch of major stars including Brock Lesner, Big Show, Dean Ambrose, The New Day and more. It is so much fun to be in the audience at a live WWE event. We really enjoyed ourselves as did all the people around us. It was nice to see all the kids rooting for their favorite stars, as well as the parents with the kids, adult friends and couples. The entertainment appeals to people of all ages.

The biggest shocker of the night was the return of Shane McMahon to WWE. He is the older brother of Stephanie McMahon and the son of Vince McMahon. No one knew he was coming back, so this was really exciting. Our niece didn’t know who he was, because she is only 11 and he has been out of the sport for 6-7 years – but Jim and I knew who he was. The crowd went crazy when he came out! You can visit wwe.com for videos of the appearance.
