Coupon Binder Creation – Cheap Plastic Dividers & How To Make Them Fit

We thought this was worth reposting………..

How we started our coupon binder.

First, we bought dividers like these from Amazon (they have the best price, hands down, on dividers).

Once we had those we knew we wanted plastic tabbed dividers (not paper, we wanted them durable).  We searched dollar stores (none to be found), Walmart, Staples and more.  The BEST price was Target!  They had 5 tab plastic dividers for just $1.59!  Staples wanted $6+.  They are the Target Up & Up brand and are perfect!

However, when we put them in the binder we realized that because we were using them on plastic inserts and not paper, they were a smidge too narrow.  We couldn’t see the tabs which would make it hard to easily flip to the different coupon categories.  So we came up with this solution we show in the video below.

We hope it helps you!

(Stay tuned for a finished project update, along with a picture of the snazzy cover Kelli made to hide the ugly binder!)
