Last night Jim and I were cutting the coupons from this past weekend’s papers. We usually buy 6 extra copies of the paper so we have a fair amount to cut out. Earlier in the week I nabbed the coupons that we “needed” to do our shopping hit list at Walgreens, Rite-Aid and Kroger but that wasn’t too many so we had a bunch to sort and cut.
As a side note, those coupons I did clip were cut out in the car! Yep, multi-tasking at it’s best. You may or may not know that we live in a fairly rural area so when we do our coupon shopping it involves at least a 25 mile journey. Whenever we have meetings or errands “in town” we team it up with the coupon shop for the week. This week Jim had a routine doctor’s appointment so rather than me go in and wait in the waiting room of the doctor’s (b-o-r-i-n-g) I decided to instead sit in the car and clip out the coupons. The other patients arriving who parked near me thought I was nuts, but I did not care. I had them sorted in the back and happily clipped away for about 40 minutes! By the time Jim came out we were ready to hit the stores aimed with the list and matching coupons.
However……..sadly as we clipped the remaining coupons out of the inserts last night to file away I gasped (OK, I think I actually swore…not just gasped, but the word gasped sounds so much more dramatic, doesn’t it?) because I saw a $1 off Complete Multi Purpose Solution coupon that I was unaware of! We bought 5 of these this week at Walgreens so we could have saved $5! If you know about the Walgreens deals we scored you will know that the Complete was free this week with the Wags Register Rewards, so it could have been a money maker! Dog gone it!
Has this ever happened to you?

Yes, it has……….saw it too late and already purchased my items. Oh well, we can use them at a later time.
I know the feeling. LOL I also don’t like it when I really need something (ex. Mayo)and buy it only to see it go on sale the very next day and THEN find a coupon for the item.
