Decoding Target Printable Coupons – Are They Manufacturer's Coupons or Store Coupons?

Our couponing pals Become a Coupon Queen and Couponista Queen have put together a great explanation about Target coupons.  With their permission, here is the summary of their post:

How to Decode Target Printable Coupons

You can go to Target’s website and print a large variety of coupons, both Target coupons and manufacturer’s coupons.  With Target coupons you can also pair up a manufacturer’s coupon to double up on the savings (we love that!!).  If it is a manufacturer’s coupon you can take it to ANY store and use it.

But how do you know BEFORE you print the coupons on Target.com if they are Target coupons or not?

If it is a manufacturer’s coupon it will always say “when you buy” on Target’s coupon page (see below):

If they are Target coupons (only able to be used at Target), then they will say nothing at all (like the Dr. Scholl’s coupon below) or they will say “with purchase” like the baby item coupon below:

Now that you know the difference, you can save ink and only print the coupons you really want!

Thank you so much for this!!! I have often wondered this very thing. I sometimes kinda hated printing coupons from the Target site & then finding them to be manufacturers coupons. Now I will know. Thanks! :0)
