We just read about this great deal and wanted to share.
When you shop at Walmart, in case you are unaware, they give you overage. That means that if an item is $1.50 and you have a $2 coupon–they give you $2 off your total that you can then have applied to the rest of your order. They are the only store that does this and it is really great when you can make it work for you.
Here is an example, using Advil pocket packs (these are the small sizes that are up by the cashier area usually).
Print this coupon good for any combination of 2 Advil or Thermacare.
Buy 2 Advil pocket packs @ $1.90 each = $3.80
Total money maker after the coupon: $1.20!! That $1.20 can go towards the rest of your order (or you will get it as cash back if you only buy these 2 items).
OR
Use this $5/3 coupon from today’s paper and buy 3 Advil pocket packs at approx. $1.90 each (prices vary a bit by region).
Total before coupon: 5.70
Each is only $0.23

I’ve actually gotten out of shopping at walmart because kroger doubles up to and incl. $1.00 coupons, however, I don’t know if you know this, but walmart will match EVERY ad price out there! As long as you have an ad, they’ll match it. and if its for store brand…they match with their store brand…Just FYI in case you didn’t know.
