We spotted this picture in this month’s issue of Family Handman and thought it was clever. One of those “how simple” ideas that you can’t imagine you did not think of.
Just string a bungee cord through the tops of your shopping bags and hook it to each side of the back. No more cans of soup rolling around on the journey home!

This is a very neat tip! It drives me crazy to get home from grocery shopping to open the van and find all the items have rolled out and everything is in disarray! Thanks!
I don’t use those flimsy store bags. I bought some “box bags” at walmart. They are very sturdy, square shaped with a bottom that folds up for easy storage, and costs $4.00 each. Each “bag” holds a lot of groceries and is so easy to carry and nothing spills out in the car! Funny thing is, most of the clerks at walmart don’t even know they sell them there! 🙂
